The Foo Fighters announced today that they are heading to Auckland to play a one-off show at the Auckland Town Hall, with all proceeds going to Christchurch. Tickets for the show, happening next Tuesday (22-MAR-2011), are on sale from Friday.
Tuesday’s show will be a intimate affair at the 2300-capacity Auckland Town Hall. With a new album out in April and a couple of behemoth tracks (Rope and White Limo) off the album, out already tickets will sell fast!
The band have visited New Zealand a bunch of times now — they were last here in May 2009 and Dave Grohl visited most recently with John Paul Jones and Josh Homme for a Them Crooked Vultures show in early 2010.

The video for the song, which sees frontman Dave Grohl’s wife Jordyn make a cameo, sees the band driven around in a white limousine by Lemmy from Motörhead.
Foo Fighters release their new, as-yet untitled new album on April 11. ‘White Limo’ will feature on the record.
